 Hey folks, welcome back!  After a couple months of labor, this kit is finally  done. This post will mostly focus on the base, which was a fun opportunity for me to flex my terrain-building skills.

Hey everyone, welcome back! For this update, I pretty much am continuing last time's progress on the gunpla. The process remains the same as in the previous Sinanju post, so if you're curious, check it out here . I took a quick break to focus on another project ( see my last blog ) but now it's time to keep working on big red. This kit is a substantial amount of work, so don't be surprised if you see it pop in and out between other projects. After all, ultimately this is about having fun, not grinding the joy out my hobby. Hi everyone, welcome back! Here's an update on my enormous, scope-exploding, gundam build. I initially approached this project from the naive mindset of a relaxed hobbyist, but, of course, my own mental hangups have spun this project out of control. Rather than just some some clean painting and light weathering, I have gone the foolish route of edge highlights, washes, extreme highlights, shading, etc. I've even broken our non-provided decals because the provided stickers are the worst things I have ever worked with. Seriously, if you are going to paint your gundam, DO NOT use the provided stickers: they will never sit right, peel, pool ink, and are relentlessly glossy. Awful. Anyway, let's look at some pics.

Hey folks, welcome back! Here's an update on my Gunpla build, I forgot how long these things take to hobby. I've been approaching this kit from the most meticulous angle possible, i.e. cleaning each piece, then separately painting before re-assembling. As you can imagine, this process takes a bit longer than the good ol', "build it and paint it" method I normally use on my gaming miniatures. For what it's worth, I'm constantly struggling with whether I actually prefer this OCD-esque method of assembly, since so much of the Gunpla kit is obscured by other elements. Likewise, I don't really care about posability, since I think of these kits as more like statues than action figures. In the future, I will probably approach these kits with a more mixed philosophy (some parts separate, some parts posed and glued), but that's a problem for future me! Hey folks, welcome back! Today's blog post covers a new kit I'm working on, something that's a bit of a departure from my normal 15mm hobbying. I'm now elbows deep in a sweet Gunpla kit I picked up back in 2016 that's been patiently sitting in my hobby hoard. For the past 4 years I've been working exclusively on miniatures for gaming, whether Kings of War, Kingdom Death: Monster, SAGA, Gruntz, etc, etc. However, with a global pandemic going on, I've had fewer opportunities to game than normal, so I figured now might be a good time to work on something else. I've been debating how intensely I wanted to hobby this kit: just clean up and assembly, assembly and paneling, or assembly and the whole painting/decals/weathering shebang. Clearly I'm a perfectionist, so the whole shebang it is! With that in mind, I'm working on each sub assembly separately as I try to tackle this monstrosity of a kit.
